8- حب النبي
حب النبي والآل ديني ومذهبي حقا ويقيني
وعمدتي في كل حين دوما فإني لا أضام
الشمس بعض من ضياه والبدر نوع من سناه
والكل في معناه تاه لم يدركه ذاك المقام
أواه قد زادت نحولي وزاد همي وذهولي
لكن بمدحي للرسول شفيت من كل الأسقام
سبحان من أعلاه قدرا وزاده فضلا وفخرا
وفي الدجى مولاه أسرى به الى البيت الحرام


8- Ḥubbu Nabi/The Love of the Prophet
Ḥubbu Nabi wa ʹl-ʹali dini wa madh-habi ḥaqqan wa yaqini
Wa ʿumdati fi kulli ḥinin dawman fa inni la ʹuḍamu
Ash-shamsu baʿḍun min ḍiyahu wa ʹl-badru nawʿun min sanahu
Wa ʹl-kullu fi maʿnahu tahu lam yudrik-hu dhaka ʹl-maqami
Awwahu qad zadat nuḥuli wa zada hammi wa dhuhuli
Lakin bi madḥi li-ʹr-Rasuli shufitu min kulli ʹl-asqami
Subḥan man aʿlahu qadran wa zadahu faḍlan wa fakhran
Wa fi ʹd-duja mawalahu asra bihi mina ʹl-baiti ʹl-Ḥarami

8- Love of the Prophet and his Family

Love of the Prophet and his Family is my Din,
my true Madhhab and conviction.
My support in all circumstances
and forever - certainly I will not be let down.

The sun is but a part of his light
and the moon is but an aspect of his splendour
Everyone will be perplexed by his significance
Unable to grasp such a (high) maqam.

Ah, I was being consumed more and more by sorrow,
my state of distress aggravating,
However by praising the Messenger
I have been healed from all pains.

Exalted is the One Who raised him in rank
and increased him in honour and glory
In the darkness (of the night) his Lord carried him
swiftly from the Sacred House.

I offer blessings and greetings of peace
to the Prophet, the guide, from Tihama,
And the noble Family and companions
hoping by them (to reach) a good ending.
